"Today we went for some scenery," noted the report from Independence for August 9, "as well as yellowtail. We had a good day on 15 to 28-pound fish and it was a toss up. Salas 6X on the Yoyo, or a 7X long rod action, or the old reliable sardine pretty much did the trick for us today. We are going to make a move for tomorrow's destination."
