Fishing aboard the Red Rooster III was a bit slow today

"Another tough day of fishing today," reported Red Rooster III skipper Andy Cates August 8. "We had a good morning bite and nice classic sundowner on nice grade bluefin, but the rest of the day was a bit slow. We managed to scratch out some fish throughout the day including some nice yellowtails off a kelp mat and some good grade yellowfin off a different kelp. We will be on scene tomorrow hoping for a little more action. The weather came up in the evening so we put the sea anchor out to give us a nice drift for the night. It seems to be settling down a bit, but we will see."
