Red Rooster III docked June 21 after an eight-day offshore fishing trip sponsored by Salty Dawg Rods. Andy Cates skippered the trip, which produced near-limits of yellowtail and a dozen bluefin. Those tuna swept the jackpots.
Dylan Cook of Chula Vista had a 28.8-pounder for first place. George Heiland of Phoenix won second place for a 28.6-pounder, and Ryan Kyle of San Diego got a 27.8-pounder to win third place. The trolling jackpot was won by Scott Mohlenbrook of Seal Beach, for a 16.4-pound yellowfin tuna.
