"We cleared the point around one-thirty this afternoon with twenty-eight anglers on board. This trip is the tuna & tails open 8 day, so we are going to be hunting for some tuna in the morning. The weather is nice and it sounds like it should be good tomorrow. A special thanks to Pelagic, Tiburon Engineering, Ballyhood Top Gun Lures, Anglers Center for sending out a bunch of goodies for everyone on board. We'll check in tomorrow to let you all know how we did."
On her previous eight-day Salty Dawg trip ending June 21, the Rooster also posted jackpot winners:
First Place, Dylan Cook, Chula Vista, 28.8-pound bluefin.
Second place, George Heiland, Phoenix, AZ, 28.6-pound bluefin.
Third place, Ryan Kyle, San Diego, 27.8-pound bluefin.
Trolling jackpot, Scott Mohlenbrook, Seal Beach, 16.4-pound yellowfin tuna.
