Intrepid docked at Pt. Loma Sportfishing December 6 after an 11-day trip to the lower banks and the tip of Baja. Mike Pritchard was skipper and 18 anglers were aboard.
Michael Lovelle of Boulder City, NV won first place for a 136-pound yellowfin tuna. He said he bagged it with a sardine on a 4/0 Owner Super Mutu hook tied to 60-pound Momoi line and 130-pound Line One spectra. He fished with an Avet 30 W reel and a Super Seeker 2 x 4 rod.
