"We started out on the beach looking for yellows at their last known location," said the report from American Angler December 4. "Unfortunately fish have tails and they swim around and they were nowhere to be seen, so we had to go into search mode. Finally at hot spot number four, we found a decent ball of fish and had steady yoyo action.
"When it slowed down, we started up the line thinking that finding another productive area would not be a problem. We ended touring the coast as most of the usual haunts were dry. Just about the time when it looked like the day was over we ran over a good sized sonar school and we were busy as the sun was going down. Even our experienced big fish anglers were all smiles as many said that they had forgotten how fun yellowtail fishing can be."
