"Today we spent about 6 hours in an area that has been producing good numbers of Yellowfin and Bluefin," noted the report from Intrepid August 29. "The fishing has slowed from what it has been, but we were fortunate with the size of what we caught. Our Bluefin were in the 30 to 45-pound class and we also had a stop on Yellowfin up to 30 pounds.
"We left the area at lunch time and started our run South with a kelp patty dishing out a couple of nice Dorado as well as releasing about 30 Yellowtail on our way. Tomorrow will be spent fishing our way South toward the Ridge."
