Accurate Trip Off & Running

Bill Roecker
"It was a busy morning here," said the Qualifier 105's report for August 29. "We started to look for kelps and it was our first try that produced. There were Dorado thick on this kelp and we put the wood to them. They were mostly 12 to 15 pounds and a few were 20 plus. Jack from Accurate had a prize for the biggest dodo landed today. The winner was Gene Mckenna with a 27-pound bull. It was a nice fish and we were happy to see him win the prize of an Aftco fighting belt. (Mike, you should have made the trip, you big dummy!)
"Anyway, tomorrow it will be yellowtail as our target species. We have had good fishing down here the last few trips and hope for a repeat. Our weather is great and the entire group is getting along great and having a blast."
