Qualifier 105 docked under Joe Crisci's hand at Pt. Loma Sportfishing June 11 after the annual Fish Trap six-day skiff trip with chartermaster Barry Brightenburg and 20 anglers aboard. They visited the bass hotspots at Cedros and Benitos islands and the Sacramento Reef.
"Conditions were decent," said Barry. "We were able to skiff every day. Our best bass was about nine pounds. The red and brown swimbaits are always best down there."
Alex Rentziperis of Dana Point posed with Fish Trap pro staffer Cole Lennon of San Clemente with a brace of dandy yellowtail of 31 and 30 pounds. Alex got his with a Salas 7X surface iron in sardine swirl color.
