"We started fishing today," reported the American Angler June 6, "and covered different areas, some devoid of life and some full of life, but finally found a nice ball of fish which responded to the bait. They showed and stayed with the bait better than they bit, but we were able to hook a few. We caught 25 to 35-pound Bluefin Tuna with a number of bigger ones and boated one approximately 60 pounds. We lost some due to albacore-type (light) gear & weather, but when it was all said and done we had 12 bluefin tuna and one token albacore. This gets us excited and encouraged for the upcoming season."
