Puerto Morelos Fish Report
5-13-2010
Larry Edwards
The Puerto Morelos action continues throughout the area and the dorado bite is the best it's been since I've been reporting on the area. There's a 12 fish variety this week for 27 days fished that starts with a 1 blue marlin, 9 sailfish, 46 dorado, 12 bonito, 5 Atlantic barracuda, 10 mutton snapper, 2 Spanish mackerel, 15 yellowfin tuna, 3 wahoo, 8 grouper, 4 trigger fish and 2 miscellaneous. Unquestionably, it was a very fun fishing week for the anglers with excellent action for all.
Puerto Morelos Climate: Partly cloudy days with temps from 76 nights to 90 daytime highs.
Sea Conditions: 82-83 degrees throughout the area with excellent clarity and good feed biomass. SSE tropical surface winds in the 8-12 knot ranges for most of the week.
Best Bait: Continues to be the rigged and un-rigged ballyhoo
