Kaweah remained near 9 percent of its storage capacity, and spotted bass fishing was good

Kaweah remained near 9 percent of its storage capacity, and spotted bass fishing was good. Drop shot, spider jigs, and Ned rigs in dark green, brown, and brown with blue highlights took fish in 15 to 25 feet of water. Rocky structure, bluff walls, and underwater humps produced a better grade of fish with crankbaits. Keitechs on a ball head jig connected when slow rolled along the bottom. Crappie went after small live minnows and small swimbaits, and catfish anglers used dip bait, chicken liver, and garlic scented nightcrawlers to land whisker fish.
