The Fall River has been fishing well
8-23-2024
Fly and Field Outfitters
The Fall River has been fishing well and was stocked last week with the usual amount of 1000 trophy trout. This small river can get pretty crowded, especially midday and soon after stocking so do your best to spread out and try some spots you don’t normally fish. If you’re looking for a good hatch then look for PMD’s and caddis in the afternoon and evening.I always recommend trying some nymphing out there with some unorthodox flies that they aren't seeing every day and we did just get a nice batch of new jig nymphs you won't find around town. Like the classics? Try some egg, worms, midges and some brighter attractor flies with orange or pink beads.
