Awesome time to get out for the callibaetis hatch!
8-23-2024
Fly and Field Outfitters
East is fishing great and an awesome time to get out for the callibaetis hatch. Paulina has been fishing pretty well also, but just like last week the callibaetis hatch is a bit slower compared to East, despite their close proximity the two lakes can fish very differently on any given day. Beetles, ants, and damsels are also great on the surface if you find the hatches slow. damsel nymphs and black and red chironomids should continue to net you fish this week. IF you're going to fish Hosmer, Wickiup or any lake that’s been struggling in the heat, we should be seeing some great action as it continues to cool down and fish will be less deep.
