Fish Report for 4-5-2024

The crappie bit has been excellent his week

4-5-2024
Chad Burton and Chris Borden

Isabella lake increased this week to 47 percent of its capacity and continues to slowly rise. The crappie bit has been excellent his week near the cages and structure. Our contacts reported scoring limits of slabs in 5 to 10-feet of water with white minijigs and live shiners. There are a ton of trout leftover from the annual Lake Isabella trout derby. Trout continue to be caught throughout the lake with garlic scented Powerbait, shad colored minijigs and spinners. Trolling for trout has been producing better quality fish. Boaters reported scoring quality trout with flicker shad, needlefish, and Tasmanian devils. The bass bite has been slow and remain out in deeper water. Whiskerfish can be found with SSS Dip Bait, cut mackerel, and sardines.
