Trout anglers spent more time fishing than catching last week
1-26-2024
Chad Burton and Chris Borden
Trout anglers spent more time fishing than catching last week. We’ll let you know as soon as the lake is planted with fresh fish. Anglers are still catching rainbows with dough baits, minijigs, and trout lures. Bass anglers reported bites while using drop shot, Senkos, and deep diving crankbaits. Catfishing anglers used chicken liver, cut anchovies, and dip bait for decent numbers of whisker fish, and crappie fishing has been excellent. Crappie anglers used their electronics to locate schools of crappie near the islands and over submerged structure spots. Crappie ate Get Bent Baits minijigs, small swimbaits, and small live minnows
