Recent rains increased the lake level to 16 percent of its capacity, and fishing remained fair. Bass anglers worked main lake points, and submerged structure in 15 to 40 feet of water with finesse baits, cranks, and spoons. Green Pumpkin, Ox Blood, and purple have been the most popular color choices lately. Some anglers did well out deeper with blade baits and underpins. Crappie took small live minnows, mini jigs, and small swimbaits near Horse Creek, and catfish ate cut baits, chicken liver, and dip bait. Trout anglers used dough baits, minijigs, and various trout lures to land rainbows from shore.
