A slow afternoon of prospecting paid big dividends when we happened upon the mother lode. In prime position to take advantage we landed a couple three beauties then had to shift our priority to a medical issue that required we head back home. The good news is that we successfully disembarked our client in need of care. The tough news were reports of what we left behind. Some good fishing went down in our absence. Damn. That said all Royal Star anglers can rest assured that your health and safety are of foremost importance to our Captains and crew. No fish swimming is worth placing anyone at risk. So we move on.
The second piece of good news is that a relatively short run will see us back on the grounds early tomorrow. We have plenty of time, beautiful weather to work in, and abundant bluefin around. Photo today features Royal Star angler Jay Maeda with his 120 pound class beauty landed on the 24 oz "Sinker Bomb".
