Puerto Morelos Fish Report- Marina El Cid, Cancun to Cozumel Area
10-8-2009
Larry Edwards
Another very slow charter week for the Puerto Morelos area, with the
fleet reporting in for only four fishing days. On the brighter side
was the unseasonal take of a white marlin, landed aboard the "Aries
VI", by angler Mr. Mildenberger. The overall counts reflected the 1
white marlin, 7 king mackerel, 3 yellowfin tuna, 3 bonito and 2 giant
barracudas for the days fished.
PM Climate: Partly cloudy days with temps from 73 nights to 94
daytime highs and light tropical breezes.
Sea Conditions: Ranged from calm to moderate seas with light winds
from the ESE and water temps that remained stable at 84-85 degrees.
Best Bait: Continues to be the ballyhoo, both rigged and un-rigged
baits.
