The full moon seemed to improve the overall fishing from Zihuatanejo, according to Captain Temo Verboonen. While it's still rainy & wet weather, the offshore waters clear-up at about 10 miles or so and there is a clarity edge with lots of logs and debris floating, attracting the bigger dorado. Captain Jose Vargas, skipper of the "LA BAMBA" reported in for a single fishing day with 2 sailfish and 4 dorado, all taken at the 14-mile mark. The fish are biting well and eager on the green jacks for bait. There were also two blue marlin taken that weighed in at the 200 lb. mark.

IZ Climate: Mostly cloudy and rainy days & nights, with temps from 72 nights to 92 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: Mostly calm with very light surface breezes, but rainy and wet days. Temps holding stable at 82 degrees and good water clarity from about 10 miles offshore.

Best Lure/Bait: Green jacks were the best bait for the billfish.

Bait supply: Plenty of bait available.
