10-1-2009
Larry Edwards
Another very slow week's fishing from Puerto Morelos with very
limited outings for the week. According to the Fleet Manager,
Armando Gutierrez, there were only 4 days fished and only one of them
was an 8-hour fishing day that produced a single sailfish for the
angler\'s effort. The overall fish count for the 4 days reflected the
1 sailfish, 4 barracuda, 3 king mackerel, 2 mutton snapper, 1
triggerfish and 4 bonito.
PM Climate: Partly cloudy days with temps from 72 nights to 94
daytime highs, a little humid with light tropical breezes.
Sea Conditions: Favorable conditions throughout the area with stable
temps at 86 degrees and very light surface breezes.
Best Bait: Continues to be the Ballyhoo, both rigged and unrigged
