9-24-2009
Larry Edwards

Captain Temo Verboonen, reporting for the Zihuatanejo Fleet said the only information for the past week was from the commercial fishing pangas as there were no charters for the entire week and no anglers at the dock. Overall, he reported very good fishing in the inshore areas for a variety of critters that included many red snapper, pampano, sierra, amberjack & bigeye jacks. In the offshore waters, starting at about 10 miles out, where the waters break to clean & blue, was good for sailfish and dorado, both of which are taken commercially in this area.

I/Z Climate: Partly cloudy days with temps from 72 nights to 93 daytime highs and a little humid.

Sea Conditions: Better this week, although a little wind from the south that created some near shore wave conditions. Temps were stable at 86-87 throughout the area with good clarity from 10 miles and out.

Best Fishing Area: Beginning at 10 miles for sailfish and dorado.

Best Lure/Bait: Not reported

Bait Supply: Not reported
