Trout action was very good this week with anglers reporting best bite before 10am. Power Bait ( especially salmon peach, yellow, rainbow and orange) night crawlers, jigs and lures all caught limits. Most trout were near or over 2 pounds with many over 3 pounds. Hot spots included the western and eastern shores of lake 3 as well as the western, northern and south eastern shores of lake 2. Anglers reported good bass action on both lakes using senkos and jigs with bass weighing up to 4 lbs. Hot spots for bass included the western shore of lake 3 near the pump house and the south eastern shore of lake 2 near the wall. Bluegill are still waiting for the heat with anglers reporting bluegill up to 1 1/2 pounds near the wall on lake 2.

Catches of the Week:

Leonard Paradise of Hesperia scored a 5 lbs 9 ozs rainbow on orange Power Bait while fishing the western shore of lake 3 near the bridge. Steven Juarez of Victorville reeled in his 5 lbs 7 ozs trout using rainbow Power Bait from the eastern logged shore of lake 3. Bell angler, Scott Sargent, caugth a 5 lbs 3 ozs rainbow on yellow Power Bait from the western shore of Lake 3 near the drain. Gary Choate of Victorville used salmon peach Power Bait from the western shore of lake 3 to catch his 4 lbs 8 ozs rainbow. Dave Fitton of Riverside caught 4 lbs 7 ozs and 3 lbs 1 ozs trout on salmon peach Power Bait while fishing the north shore of lake 2 near the inlets. Richard Cervantes of Ontario scored a 4 lbs 8 ozs rainbow on the western shore of lake 3 using chartruese Power Bait. Moreno Valley angler, James Crawford, used orange Power Bait to catch his 3 lbs 3 ozs rainbow from the western shore of lake 3 near the bridge. Neil Carson of Azusa caught a 4 lbs 3 ozs rainbow using a night crawler while fishing the western shore of lake 2.

The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round and during the summer we will stock 1000 pounds of catfish every week as well.
