Anglers had to work their tackle and baits again this week with Power Bait ( especially orange, salmon peach and spring green), night crawlers, jigs and lures all catching trout. Hot spots included the eastern logged shore to the pump house as well as the western shore near the bridge of lake 3 and the northern and eastern shores of lake 2.

Attached: John Osika of Ontario scored a 5 lbs 15 ozs rainbow using a LipRipperz worm near the bridge on the north shore of lake 2 at Jess Ranch Lakes.

Catches of the Week: Andre Nersesian caught his 5 lbs trout on a night crawler while fishing the eastern logged shore of lake 3 with his friend Greg Byrum, who helped him net the big fish. John Osika of Ontario scored a 5 lbs 15 ozs rainbow using a LipRipperz worm near the bridge on the north shore of lake 2. Another Ontario angler, Tom Halford, reeled in a 4 lbs 3 ozs rainbow from the north shore of lake 2 on a Lip Ripperz as well. Patrick Gray of Covina caught his 4 lbs 7 ozs rainbow on a night crawler while fishing the inlet of lake 2. Rick Carpenter of Apple Valley caught a 5 lbs 9 ozs rainbow on an orange Power Worm while fishing near the bridge of lake 3. Hesperia angler, Tiffany Cipriani, reeled in a nice 4 lbs rainbow using spring green Power Bait on the grassy point of lake 3. Mike Oliver of Victorville caught his 4 lbs 5 ozs trout on a tube jig from the north shore of lake 3 near the inlets. Sixteen year old, Brandon Hildebrandt, of Glendora caught his 4 lbs trout on a white Power Mouse while fishing with his grandfather at the pump house on lake 3. Jason Ocull Sr. caught a 4 lbs 4 ozs rainbow on a Power Worm while his son Jason Jr. reeled in a 3 lbs 2 ozs trout. Both fished the north shore of lake 3. Mark Rubio of Duarte scored a 6 lbs 1 ozs rainbow on an orange Power Worm while fishing the eastern logged shore of lake 3.

This year the Lakes' hatchery is amping up the weekly trout stockings with bigger fish overall.
