Jess Ranch Lake Fish Report

2-22-2009
Jess Ranch Lakes Staff

Nicer weather didn't help the trout bite this week with anglers using everything in their tackle boxes to get trout on the line. Most trout caught were near or over 2 pounds with many over 3 pounds. Power bait ( especially salmon peach, rainbow and lemon twist), night crawlers, jigs and lures all produced limits but overall anglers had to work pretty hard. Hot spots included the eastern shore of lake 3 to the pump house as well as the western shore from the drain to the bridge. Lake 2's north and south western shores also provided good spots for anglers.

Attached Pics: #1 Mike Oliver of Victorville caught his 6 lbs 2 ozs rainbow on a black tube jig while fishing the north shore of lake 2 near the inlets at Jess Ranch Lakes.

#2 Tony Convarrubias of Alhambra scored 5 lbs 2 ozs and 4 lbs 8 ozs to limit on Pink Power Egg/Power Worm Combos. He fished the logged eastern shore of lake 3 at Jess Ranch Lakes.
