Jess Ranch Lakes Staff
Despite all the wild weather, anglers managed get some
fantastic trout fishing in at the Lakes. Anglers used Power
Bait ( especially salmon peach, chartreuse and orange)
night crawlers, jigs and lures to catch the big trout and
limits as well. Most trout were near or over 2 pounds with
many over 3 pounds. Hot spots included the northern and
eastern shores of lake 2 and the northern and eastern
shores of lake 3 ( from the logged shore to the pump
house).
Saturday, February 14, 2009 will be Prize Day at the Lakes.
Limit fishing pass holders will compete for tackle, bait, free passes and lakes' signature items. The Adult Division ( 13 years and older) will give prizes for the top five heaviest trout, the heaviest limit and the top two smallest trout.
