The ongoing Santa Ana conditions kept the breezes light and temperatures higher than usual in the high desert. Trout action this week was up and down with anglers reporting fair to good action on both lakes. Power Bait ( especially Salmon Peach, Spring Green and Orange), night crawlers, jigs and lures all catching limits and the big trout. Most trout caught were near or over two pounds with many over 3 pounds. Hot spots included the grassy point, eastern logged shore to the pump house and the western shore near the bridge as well as the northern and eastern shore of lake 2.

Catches of the Week:
- Riverside angler, LLoyd Harmon, caught a 13 lbs 14 ozs limit of trout using Power Bait, night crawlers and jigs.
- William Bletcher of Valinda, caught a 5 lbs 13 ozs rainbow on orange twist Power Bait while fishing the southwestern shore of lake 2.
- Billy Hayes a.k.a."Bo Star" of Baldwin Park reeled in his 3 lbs 11 ozs rainbow using Salmon Peach Power Bait on the north eastern shore of lake 3.
- Beth Sanchez of Monrovia scored her 6 lbs rainbow to limit on a night crawler while fishing the eastern logged shore of lake 3.
- Hesperia angler, Jose Robles caught his 3 lbs 3 ozs trout using Spring Green Power Bait near the inlets of lake 2.
- Martin Ashbrook of Barstow scored his 6 lbs 13 ozs rainbow on a Kastmaster while fishing the north shore of lake 2.
- Mike Gehl of Victorville caught his 6 lbs 10 ozs trout on a Rapala while fishing near the bridge on the western shore of lake 3.

The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round.
