A nice time yellowtail fishing along the coast culminating in a fantastically memorable evening hit on premium, 30 - 40 pound class beauties. Prior to the grand finish one here, one there type action characterized the majority of the effort when it appeared that our time in the “beach” zone had come to an end.
Among the many reasons our insatiable drive to answer the call of the sea is perpetual unpredictability. We never know, in advance, what the day, hour, or minute will produce. And the potential for something extraordinary always exists, and often does. Defining moments are what our drive is all about. This evening, the eleventh hour plus of this voyage, was one of those moments. Not momentous in proportion to the greatest of the great, but the kind that leaves us all immensely satisfied. A win by every measure.
We’ll take it. Because after that, in the glow of satisfaction and triumph, began the ride uphill. Not too bad this time nevertheless the travel conditions stood in stark contrast to the blessed, heavenly sea state the night, and several days before. It comes with the territory. “All good things must come to an end”. As evidence of our bright end fishing today’s photo features second time returning Royal Star angler Randy Gazda.
