Shogun Sportfishing Fish Report 04-16-2008

Today was a slow day at Alijos Rocks. This place has glory days, but today wasn't one of them. A few fish were landed but overall it was just about dead. Where did they go? Norm threw in the towel early, and pointed the Shogun toward Cedros. We'll arrive before first light and scout around for sign of yellowtail.

4-15-2008This afternoon we had good action fishing yellowtail here at Alijos Rocks. Several larger fish were landed, they bit live bait as well as yo-yo iron. Today was a beautiful day at Alijos Rocks. We had sunny skies with a light breeze. There was consistent action on yellowtail and tuna all day long. The fish were on the small size but there is potential for some bigger fish as sea temps are better than expected. Right now the Shogun is spending the night anchored at the Alijos Bank.
