Shogun Sportfishing Fish Report 04-14-2008

Today was a beautiful day at Alijos Rocks. We had sunny skies with a light breeze. There was consistent action on yellowtail and tuna all day long. The fish were on the small size but there is potential for some bigger fish as sea temps are better than expected. Right now the Shogun is spending the night anchored at the Alijos Bank. Big yellows often bite here at night, and we are going to give it our best effort. We can only hope for as gorgeous a day tomorrow. Todays photos show a little of the yellowtail action and Bruce with a Mexican Hogfish that was later released.

Yellowtail and tuna are the target species, reels were serviced and spooled up with fresh line today. Right now the cooks are serving a nice chicken dinner, perhaps an after dinner movie and its lights out because tomorrow is going to be a full day of fishing....... Read More
