Cruisin'

A pleasant cruise down the line enjoying some leisure time after a solid morning of rigging and preparation. Our sights set on the coveted “skin” we did everything in our power to accommodate success. As wily as the skinny, striped devils are however one can rest assured that if found they will give us a run for our money. No fish that I have experienced in my lifetime is more adept at escape than a wahoo. They are the uncontested master's of disaster's; and I pluralized “disaster” with good reason. Wahoo confound every notion of normal once they are hooked. Just when one thinks that they can not be surprised by anything a crazed, hooked wahoo does in it's panic to escape some new manuever is produced from their endless repetoire to demonstrate their mastery over the odds. A worthy quarry in every respect we'll see how these angler's fare in the arena tomorrow. Photo today features first time Royal Star angler Romeo Hoyla with one of his several 100 pound class yellowfin landed at the island two days prior. On a final admin note I want to post another reminder about the new 7 day voyage just added to the Royal Star schedule planning to target these beautiful yellowfin tuna at Guadalupe island. December 26th 2016 – January 2, 2017 are the dates of the new, BlackWater sponsored run. Certain to be popular (with good reason) give Tracy and/or Captain Brian Sims a call in the office this week to reserve your spot.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4764 to get in on the action.
