Short but sweet

No exception to the rule today: “every day is different” thus far. The difference today was initially not for the better. Morning posted a big zero for the effort – no sign, no fish. Thus began a long morning of looking with various stops along the way. The scenery and weather were sublime – really. Flat calm and crystal clear, crisp mid day lighting enhanced every feature of the island's spectacular geography. Though we weren't doing it fishing a motor tour around the place served the cause well. Appreciation for this phenomenal destination was even greater when the distant features were witnessed up close and personal. Then came afternoon and though short lived the fish did not dissapoint. A nice shot a quality, 70 – 130 pound class yellowfin set our minds at ease and ended the day on the right note. So approaches our final day tomorrow with excellent prospects. Not a giant barn burner, fill the hatches too soon affair out here by any means this fishing is actually the perfect pace. Every one that comes over the rail is sincerely valued and appreciated. And little by little they are adding up to an excellent, quality catch. Photo today features “Tiburon” Bob Stenbro with a nice one landed in the early afternoon. I have to admit that with the condensed nature of this fishing the best photos possible have been fairly elusive. This quick image of master angler Bob does the trick though. One of these a day is a good day indeed. On a final note some fortunate angler should give Tracy a call and grab the last spot on this trip departing Saturday. To be certain we have not caught them all out here. Gear up and go!
