Evening Hit

A bit of a slow start for us today as we couldn't quite settle in to any one zone. A few fish were to be found just about everywhere but the bulk of the fish that were around a few days prior seemed to be absent. So the day passed in search mode as we toured outside the island enjoying the scenery and continuing flat calm conditions. Not much fish came of it but we were not rattled at all. Recognizing that every day out here thus far has been vastly different it was just matter of time. And come evening everything changed. Different than the prior three days that featured no late action the main body of fish swept into the zone today and got with the program reminiscent of last year. Extreme action best characterizes it – real deal fishing with a surface showing for miles around. The chance we had been waiting for evened the score and set everyone well. Even those inevitable few anglers suffering under the curse of “snake bite” were able to set, swing, and convert. It was a perfect end to a long, gratifying day. Photo today features Royal Star veteran Matt Thaweesak with one of his few dandies landed early. On an admin note Tracy informed me that one spot just became available on the upcoming seven day voyage departing Saturday the 6th. With Isla Guadalupe our main destination an angler who has the time should not miss this opportunity.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4764 to get in on the action.
