A heck of a day of fishing to be sure. Aside from a self imposed intermission seeking variety to no avail the action on 18 – 25# yellowtail was non-stop. Excellent catching on our summer “bread and butter” fish that are both epic brawlers and superb table fare. Filling out limits, save for a few slots remaining in the event we encounter a real trophy or two up the line, we shift gears tomorrow heading offshore in search of the elusive yellowfin tuna. It's what now needs to be done. Boom or bust a day of leg work is in the cards with the wealth of beautiful RSW product currently residing in our tanks. Good working weather promises a smooth day (or at least morning) of it as we ply a couple of promising zones courtesy of the beloved, and heavily relied upon, sea surface temperature maps provided by Terrafin. Here we go...

A successful time of it this morning with fine action on 15 pound class yellowtail to get the catching portion of the voyage rolling. Not wishing to get too carried away on this grade of fish we opted for a couple of go around's before moving on to explore some of the more obscure folds of the Southern Baja seascape.
