8/19/15 A rather long day of nothing out here in the deep blue. A bit depressing truth be told as we finally set ourselves in line with a few behemoth kelps in perfect conditions that produced absolutely nothing worthy of a tag, or photo. Boy this offshore theme has been consistent in the zones that we have traversed of late. Not that any bonanza's have been had, but a few here and there at least add up to something at day's end. Not so much around here today. Log this one as a day of travel; no matter the result we had to make this passage anyway. Tomorrow will be the true test as we make our way into the more recently productive tuna zones. Weather better than today, an abundance of time, and a lot of pent up fishing drive promise improvement to come. Photo today comes courtesy of Jeff Muir and ISSF. The noose is beginning to tighten on these poor devils. Magnified this is an incredible photo.
