8/17/15 No fault of the fish it took us longer to get our act together than it should have. But despite our efforts to appear novice in our approach the fish were in such volume that we couldn't help but catch them; and we did. Perhaps in the end it was better to postpone the inevitable as morning stretched into afternoon and the slaying continued. The pleasure of a fine day of fishing on a flat calm, balmy ocean was recognized and valued as special. We all know it's not always like this; especially in the summer of 2015 that so far has featured a disproportionate volume of northwest wind and sloppy conditions. A bounty now resides in the hatch with a little room to spare. In such sublime conditions it would be a shame to over indulge. A least a portion of tomorrow will be passed in this paradise before moving on. Expanding the variety list will be the highest priority in conditions so ideal. Photo today features a young angler that had an extraordinary day of fishing landing both beautiful yellowtail and a couple of nice yellowfin tuna. At twelve years old Caden Thorne did a fantastic job at the rail both catching fish and having fun.
