Boom or Bust

8/16/15 No favor in our fortune today – none. We ran a one hundred twenty mile line in what “should” have been a productive zone. Conditions were ideal, the weather was great, spirits were high, but the fish stood us up. And to make it even more offensive it sounds as though we were about the only boat on the ocean that completely missed yesterday – good call skipper!. It happens. Many a time I've said that it is equally important for us to know what is and what isn't. Suffice it to say that we can scratch a good amount of ground off the list for a while; curiosity satisfied. Though day one of this seven day voyage is logged a bust we haven't yet succumbed to sentiments of doom and gloom; it's far too early for that. Tomorrow is a new day and destination. Duty calls now – time to get in the saddle. Less anything worthy of the camera today we'll rely upon David Itano and ISSF again for the exemplary image. It never hurts to dream big; though the day's of dreaming for the big yellowfin in this image are soon to be over. If one refers back to the image yesterday the difference in body type between bigeye and yellowfin tuna is very clear.
