Good Fishing

8/4/15 Less any motivation to relocate we spent another day in coastal heaven going with the flow; and presently the flow is right. Not the big burner of the previous day we still hatched solid numbers of exceptional grade yellowtail before yielding our sweet spot in search of more. And more there definitely is, but we didn't make good on it. An improving weather forecast offshore now beckons; but not before we give the lower zone one more thorough look. Interested in both compiling a catch of fish and avoiding a good old fashioned offshore butt kicking we have been studying the set up waiting for our chance. It looks like tomorrow that chance will come; the door is set to open. In perfect time too; all are ready for a change of pace and target species. A few more of these dandy yellows, and perhaps another WSB or two won't be frowned upon though. One does not waste opportunities in this arena without regret. One more morning shot, if it is to come, should assuage any misgivings about premature departure. After that, no matter what the result, the day will be fine. Photos today feature John La Fargue with a perfect example of the fine yellowtail quality we are enjoying, and Sharon Kramer with another dandy croaker that made her day.
