It's official! White Seabass season is here! It's safe to assume this because we've caught croaker several days in a row now. The early morning boats had a good crack at them today with the Aloha Spirit and Sea Jay each catching several fish. Mixed in with these Seabass are Yellowtail in the 20-25 lbs rage. The Seabass themselves are of decent size in the 25-35 lbs range, with larger models in the 40 lbs class. If you are looking to catch one of these fish, check out our schedule online and book as soon as possible, space is limited! Our 3/4 day and 1/2 day trips have been catching alot of fish too. Mostly bottom fish at this point, consisting of nice red snapper, chucks and other assorted rock fish. Barracuda are starting to move in fairly thick at the local islands. It's only a matter of time before these boats get in on the action and just in time for Twlights to begin.
Today's Fish Count: 5 boats and 91 anglers.
631 Rockfish, 72 Lingcod, 12 Ocean Whitefish, 9 Sculpin, 2 Sheephead, 10 Calico Bass, 3 Barracuda, 7 Yellowtail, 1 Halibut, and 21 White Seabass.

Some boats are making bait on the water before they start fishing. We do have nice live bait in the wells in the form of large Anchovy and medium Sardine. Some boats have found live squid on the fishing grounds, so we recommend everyone bring a squid snagger if they are going on one of our overnight or full day boats. Be sure to ask one of our representatives about tackle requirements for the specific trip you either booked or would like to book. Online booking is always available through our landing website but you can also call us here at the landing to speak with a live person.
