Fish Report for 6-7-2015

Weekend Wrap-Up at Cisco's

Channel Islands Sportfishing

It was a beautiful Sunday to complete an overall great weekend here at Cisco’s. Today’s we had two outer island boats, seven local boats and a report from our 2-day outer island trip on the Constitution. The weather again was kind to us with a flat ocean and warm temps. Most of the day it was overcast but the sun did break through toward the end of the day. Bottom fishing for Reds and other assorted Rockfish was reportedly very good today. Some boats did so well they came home early with bags full of big Vermillion’s aka Red Snapper. Captain’s report seeing more White Seabass and Yellowtail at the islands however they did not want to cooperate. There were some hookups and we managed to land a few, but many fish were lost because of various reasons. Fortunately, the fish only seem to be increasing in numbers so future trips look promising as we move into the second week of June.

Today's Fish Count: 10 boats and 222 anglers.
2085 Rockfish, 64 Lingcod, 34 Ocean Whitefish, 8 Rock Sole, 3 Sculpin, 6 Sheephead, 56 Calico Bass, 46 Barracuda, 3 Yellowtail, 4 Halibut, and 9 White Seabass.

Some boats are making bait on the water before they start fishing. We do have nice live bait in the wells in the form of large Anchovy and medium Sardine. Some boats have found live squid on the fishing grounds, so we recommend everyone bring a squid snagger if they are going on one of our overnight or full day boats. Be sure to ask one of our representatives about tackle requirements for the specific trip you either booked or would like to book. Online booking is always available through our landing website but you can also call us here at the landing to speak with a live person.
