Back at it here churning south in conditions that originally appeared ominous but ultimately amounted to nothing. A little bump and jump in the beginning stiff southerly breeze mellowed into a soothing, easy ride by late afternoon when the wind abated and accompanying seas disappeared. A fine start by any measure we are currently loaded with perfection when it comes to bait and a wonderful group of anglers to share the next twelve days with plying the seas. The destination is a little vague at present but the goal most certainly isn't. We are here to make a catch of quality gamefish. And to that endeavor we are dedicated. Reports and photos will follow as this first voyage of December 2014 progresses.

On an admin note we presently have three spots still available on the Dec 26th - Jan 9th, 2015 fourteen day run. This time frame has been staggeringly consistent on giant yellowfin at least four years running. Based on what has been produced thus far in the giant yellowfin tuna zones down below, and current signs, I confidently venture that success on this run is the likely outcome. This voyage is a go - we will be sailing on the 26th headed for points south. If you have the time and are still on the fence imagine fishing the most famous giant yellowfin tuna grounds on the planet by yourselves. This dream can easily be your reality - soon. Give Tracy a call.

After daylight we moved and checked some shallow water areas picking up two small yellows and a short halibut (released). We returned to our original reef to find just a trickle of current and saw a nice ball of yellows. We waited them out for about 30 minutes before getting the first bite. Then they hit us and hit us hard. For the...... Read More

11/24/14 Today we slid up above a wind event and enjoyed some good fishing on quality yellowtail. We had great weather and beautiful scenery, while catching 18-25# yellows. We will fish for a bit tomorrow morning before heading home for the Thanksgiving holiday. We have all of the factors that go into a great trip, quality, quantity and variety. Beyond that we have a great group of anglers and a very generous sponsor in Shimano. Gary Ishii displays a yo-yo caught...... Read More
