An uneventful day in the right kind of way. Rigging and preparation were the top "to do" items with plenty of R and R to go along with it. Nice traveling weather accompanied the activities and little from the outside world troubled those below; vacation at last. Prospects perked up in the right form with several zones below producing big time. Of course such reports simultaneously inflict joy and agony to the man in charge; agony because we're not there, and have a long way to go, and joy because what was previously dismal has taken a turn for the better. We'll be in the game tomorrow, and for the next seven days, making hay if the sun shines.

11/05/14 A brief respite shoreside following the successful completion of the couple of three day voyages we added to the Royal Star schedule. For the season and remaining opportunities available we could not be happier with the results. Now the regular schedule resumes. 11/02/14 Today we worked offshore looking for the Dorado and Tuna we sampled two days ago. The good water was still in the area, and we found plenty of small kelp paddies. The fish however, were either deep due to the weather, or made a move to a new area. We managed to avoid being -skunked- by means of a few Dorado that jumped on our trolled jigs.
