It was a "Plan B" occasion as I felt no love coming our way offshore. A few odds and ends broke up the morning then led to an
early afternoon void of thrills. The young natives were getting restless with escapades on the back deck becoming more
colorful by the moment; it was time to stop and fish, catching or not.
As fortune would have it, for what felt like the first in a quite some time, the day came together as well as one could have
planned. A fine late afternoon of coastal yellowtail angling set everyone in the right place both figuratively and literally.
Flat calm, beautiful surroundings, the air thick with a familiar old island aroma, we arrived exactly where we needed to be
with plenty of time to make hay and enjoy.
Less any sense of urgency to relocate, finally, we look to the morning for the next round of fishing. Photos today feature
anglers Dennis Spann with an example of this afternoon's fine grade of yellowtail, and young Brayden Allen who schooled more
than a few on the bluefin including this dandy that weighed in at 61 pounds.
