After a just over a week at the dock we are ready to go fishing again! At this time of the season we often take advantage of the flexible nature of our early schedule to run introductory "mini long range" voyages in the 1 1/2 to 2 day range. With the upcoming weekend offshore weather forecast to be flat calm, and dates in our schedule open, we are adding a one and a half day run departing Friday, May 31st at 6:00 p.m. returning Sunday, June 2nd at 8:00 a.m.
Good signs of yellowtail on the kelps outside and plenty of good water to prospect combined with the flat calm weather and aerial support from the SAC commissioned spotter plane will combine for an incredibly effective effort that will not surprise any of us by producing the season's first local offshore Bluefin, albacore, or both. The time is right and conditions will be ideal.
The cost of this Royal Star "mini long range" voyage will be $400.00 and includes all meals, permits, and fuel surcharge. The number of anglers is limited to 25. We will operate this voyage exactly the same as our regular long range adventures offering, full meal service, premium handling and RSW storage of your product, as well as full fish processing services available upon return Sunday morning.
Captain Randy Toussaint will be at the helm supported by our veteran, professional Royal Star crew. To reserve space on this one and only 1 1/2 day of the season please call Fisherman's Landing at (619) 221-8500. Tracy will also be happy to accommodate reservations in our office. This voyage is likely to fill quickly so please call to book as soon as possible. We will keep everyone posted as the week progresses looking forward to the opportunity to begin our season with this impromptu 1 1/2 day run!
