Fish Report for 9-29-2010
We enjoyed another very good day of yellowfin fishing. We stayed on the anchor all day with one to five going. The bigger grade of tuna got on us early and stuck around until late in the afternoon. The Wahoo made a better showing today as well and we managed to put a cool dozen on board. Our weather is exceptionally nice. We are currently headed up and will be looking for yellowtail tomorrow afternoon.
Two pictures today. First is Ron Morton who traveled out from Minnesota to battle tuna like the 70 pounder he proudly displays. Ron usually fishes with his brother who was unable to attend this year. Maybe he'll make it next year. Second is Andy Pulido who had the hot hand and turned in today's best yellowfin, a 90# model.

We mixed in a couple of handfuls of yellowtail and a handful of Wahoo. We did it in greasy calm conditions. We will be here again tomorrow. I'm breaking out of my mold today and sending two pictures. First is "Bub"...... Read More

We arrived at our fishing destination just in time for the current to back off and the bulk of the fish to leave the shallows. After a quick anchor job to ascertain this, we took a very good look around and then set up for the afternoon showing. Thankfully the fish came to the party and we had good action for the afternoon and an evening hit that lasted into the dark. The tuna were mixed in size with about...... Read More
