Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

We arrived at our fishing destination just in time for the current to back off and the bulk of the fish to leave the shallows. After a quick anchor job to ascertain this, we took a very good look around and then set up for the afternoon showing. Thankfully the fish came to the party and we had good action for the afternoon and an evening hit that lasted into the dark. The tuna were mixed in size with about half 18 - 25 lbs.and the other half 55 - 75. We mixed in a couple of handfuls of nice grade yellowtail and a few dorado for color. We are sitting tight for the night and will be hard at it in the morning.

Jeff McNeely gets the honors today with a nice 70# yellowfin early in the afternoon.

The anticipation is thick as we near our destination, so check back tomorrow to see how the fishing develops. Brian...... Read More
