Well, I hope my writing style is not too much of a shock after Tim's eloquence. We are currently heading offshore with great weather and high hopes. Wish us luck and we will let you know what we come up with for our efforts tomorrow.

7-20-2009Nothing like a little variety fishing in flat calm weather to finish off a great voyage that up to today featured almost exclusive action on albacore. Bluefin tuna was the target today and we came up with a couple of decent schools that weren't quite ready to snap but ultimately yielded twenty three beauties from 35 - 42 pounds. I'd love to tell you that it was just luck or the odds finally coming around but that wouldn't be straight. A certain amount of luck always accounts for some fishing success, and today we had our share, but the positions we placed ourselves in were no coincidence as two days of driving around and sharing information about catches and conditions provided a very good picture of what we were working with.
