Fish Report for 11-27-2008
We're not certain the photos will be posted this holiday but rest assured that they will all be up following the weekend. Today's images feature some of the good action to be found throughout the voyage that not only focused on the cows down below. Capt. Toussaint constructed and performed what I consider a flawless game plan that resulted in eight days of action and variety fishing while working down and up the coast as well as placing his anglers in position to target the coveted fish of a life time for three of the eight fishing days. Good fortune definitely smiled upon this voyage in a gigantic way but the masterful strategy and inexhaustible drive in Capt. Toussaint to produce exceptional results was again rewarded with a historic experience for his group of anglers. Congratulations to Randy and the guys again for a job well done.
All of us at Royal Star want to wish everyone reading a bountiful and rewarding Thanksgiving holiday. With our near overwhelming good fortune in every respect we are especially thankful. Although we put forth an incredible amount of effort to maintain the impeccable standards and reputation we have earned, we recognize and appreciate every individual angler who is the real reason for our success. So, while we are thankful for the immense good fortune we have realized at Royal Star, we are even more thankful for those who have fished with and supported us throughout the years. It is our most sincere wish that this holiday finds all of you and your families well. Our second wish is that we will enjoy the opportunity to fish with all of you again on Royal Star or beyond as our stated goals of driving innovation, vision, and improvement in long range sport fishing remains steadfast and dedicated as day one .
Thank you again to all and look for daily reports from the annual Let's Talk Hookup ten day voyage to resume on Saturday the 29th. In addition, look for the fantastic big fish photos from the Las Rocas eleven day to continue throughout next week.
Happy Thanksgiving 2008!
Capt. Tim Ekstrom
Capt. Randy Toussasint
Capt. Brian Sims
Capt. Sean Bickel
Capt. Gregg Tanji
Capt. Isaac Sullens
Crewman Steve Gregonis
Crewman Blake Wasano
Executive Chef Drew Rivera
Chef Jeffrey Grant
Galley Assistant Eduardo Vargas
And of course the heart and soul of Royal Star - Operations Manager Tracy Toussaint.

11-26-2008Congratulations to angler Dennis Williams with his potential all tackle 381.1# yellowfin tuna!!! Captain Randy Toussaint joins Dennis in the second photo that features the monster "cow' hanging from the on board scale showing the exact weight of the fish upon arrival in San Diego, as has been the standard for our on board weights over the past four years. At the time, Capt. Toussaint informed me that he chose the lower weight of 378 to call on board to...... Read More

It was a beautiful ride up the line with an eta of 0830-0900 tomorrow. It sounds like Tommy on the Supreme is keeping the ball rolling down below with a handful of cows yesterday which included a 303, very exciting for the upcoming trips. We should have some great pics from this trip posted by tomorrow afternoon. Following is a list of the anglers that landed the cows: Dennis Williams - 378 Tom kurata - 308 Jimmy Ramirez ......
