Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

The day has finally arrived! The first of two 2008 tagging voyages to the Revillagigedo islands has commenced departing Cabo San Lucas at 1:30 p.m. en route for Isla San Benedicto a short, twenty one hours to the south. If the weather is any omen of success, we are in business as beautiful, flat calm seas with zero wind graced our Cabo departure and continue through present. Our load of sardines and mackerel are fantastic and our group of progressive anglers are ready to get started with nine full days of fishing to look forward to in the legendary Revillagigedo island chain. Tomorrow's report will of course feature fishing information from the zone as we get started at "Smokey" in the late morning. Naturally, hopes and expectations are soaring, with mine at the top of the list, so we begin with every advantage we can muster in our favor. Now it is up to the fish gods and good fortune to complete the dream. We will keep you posted accordingly.

Overall we did manage to catch...... Read More

Three above the coveted two hundred pound mark came over the rail in addition to another fourteen in the one hundred sixty to one hundred ninety five pound class making for a fantastic day of trophy yellowfin action by any standard. Throw in a few handfuls of sixty to ninety pounders, that...... Read More
