Despite far less than perfect working weather, Captain Toussaint's talents shined bright today as he perfectly executed a strategy that produced the results we have been hoping for. Three above the coveted two hundred pound mark came over the rail in addition to another fourteen in the one hundred sixty to one hundred ninety five pound class making for a fantastic day of trophy yellowfin action by any standard. Throw in a few handfuls of sixty to ninety pounders, that served the ideal purpose of distributing the action among all anglers, and the picture improves that much more. So now we are breathing a little easier but we are not planning to ease up on these tuna until our final full day is exhausted in search of the couple of schools of trophies still around here. Again we have less than ideal working weather but as the day's results demonstrate, such obstacles can be overcome. As I am the closer at the helm tomorrow and Captain Toussaint and Captain Sims' skills will be tested on the mast, we will see if the fish god's have a final gift in store for us. Tomorrow's report will tell all.

Stops were few and far between with sloppy weather making the pursuit of these incredibly stealthy dolphins a near monumental challenge while...... Read More

We can't exactly say that the fishing part of this move went in our favor as we gave it our all again yesterday for a couple of handfuls of mid grade fish and one standout at one seventy one. Obviously there has been a marked change in the outside zone as we finally found the big dolphins we were looking for but they were carrying almost no fish. Although it was not the kind of change we were hoping for,...... Read More
